For one of my new year's resolutions, I vowed to go on more adventures: from flying to another country to chasing waterfalls back home. Today was the first (proper) adventure of 2016 and I can't wait to share these photos with you!

The 90 minute coastal walk at Long Bay National Park boasted absolutely beautiful views of New Zealand scenery. It also made me realise just how unfit I really was, having to stop to catch my breath several times during the walk. We walked past Granny's Bay and made it to Pohutakawa Bay before realising we couldn't go any further without water. Note to self: be prepared next time!!!

The walk along the beach on the way back was even better. There is nothing like the feeling of dipping your toes into the ocean after a long walk! So rewarding.

What beaches have you been enjoying this summer? I'd love to add a few to my list!

Here's to starting 2016 the right way!
